Geraldine Barón is a BIFA nominated casting director and filmmaker. She specializes in non-traditional casting, working with actors and non-actors on film, documentary and tv projects. She has a passion for finding first time actors, unique stories and for the collaborative creative process. She's known for her work on critically acclaimed films such as Pedro Almodovar’s The Room Next Door (winner of the Golden Lion at the Venice Film Festival 2024, and centerpiece at the New York Film Festival the same year), Eliza Hittman's Never Rarely Sometimes Always (premiered at Sundance 2020, and won the Silver Bear Grand Jury Prize at the Berlinale 2020), Savanah Leaf's Earth Mama (Sundance 2023, BIFA winner), Jane Schoenbrun's I Saw the TV Glow (Sundance 2024), the Safdie brothers' Good Time (Cannes Film Festival 2017), as well as the HBO's tv show Euphoria, amongst many others. Geraldine was born in Argentina, is based in NYC and works internationally.
